11/07/07 Great Job to Kennedy for winning the Monster Match this last weekend in Denver. Hope everyone can make it to The OCU womens Dual against Cumberland ths weekend. Cumberland is the top ranked womens team this year so this should be a great one. 8/20/07 Hanna Martin won at Fargo ND this summer and is a National Champion. This is the top High School freestyle tournament in the Nation. Great Job Hanna !!! Joey got her shoulder opperated on this summer and is healing. She hopes to be released to wrestle in November. Good luck to all the Oklahoma girls on this season coming up. Bellaire HS, TX 4/26/07 Team Oklahoma Badgirls wrestling team had a great showing at the Fila Body Bar Women's National Championships in Colorado Springs, CO April 20 - 22, 2007. The team took 5 wrestlers and all placed 1st or 2nd. They also traveled to Michigan to the United States Girls Wrestling Association (USGWA) nationals tournament in Livonia, Michigan, March 31-April 1, 2007 where they all placed in the top 7. There were over 700 girls at the tournament in Michigan. In the elementary division, Kennedy Jackson won her 2nd straight national championship and Lacey Wallis also won a national championship after getting a second place finish last year. In the High School div. Joey Miller won her 4th straight National championship in the high school div. She had previously won 4 national titles, 2 in elementary div and 2 in Middle school div. She won all her matches this year by pin. Hanna Martin placed third this year. She placed second the last 2 years. In the Middle School Division. Karissa Avallone and Victoria Kinsey had a good tournament and both placed 7th. and wrestled hard. Kennedy Jackson won Oklahoma Kids state this year Div 2 @ 46lbs. This is Kennedy's 2nd State Championship. She also has a 2nd place finish. Hannah Martin Qualified for 4a Oklahoma State this year as a freshman. Cheyenne Stokes from Tulsa East Central signed with OCU and we are expecting great things from her and the Oklahoma City University's new team. Joey Miller is ranked #5 at 51kg in the latest USA Wrestling senior rankings. Joey placed 3rd at the World Team trials last year as a sophomore in High School. 3/12/07 Kennedy Jackson won Kids state again this year Div 2 @ 46lbs. This is Kennedy's 2nd State Championship. She also has a 2nd place finish. Hannah Martin had a great season and we will be looking forward to her season next year. Cheyenne Stokes signed with OCU and we are expecting great things from her and the Oklahoma City University's new team. Joey is ranked #5 at 51kg in the latest USA Wrestling senior rankings and will be competitingin Las Vegas in 3 weeks at Senior nationals. Oklahoma USGWA State tournament was held at Tulsa East Central on the 11th and I met alot of new Oklahoma Girls that will be added to the team soon. Good luck to all Oklahoma Girls at Nationals the last weekend on march.
1/22/07 Congratulations Kennedy for placing 4th at the tough Tulsa Nationals Tournament in Tulsa this last weekend. Hanna Martin is haveing a good season by being the first girl to place at the Geary Tournament of champions. Hanna is also ranked #1 4a @ 103lbs. Joey is ranked #9 at 4a @119lbs. I have updated the tournaments on the main page and have linked to the flyers when possible. Three Oklahoma Girls are ranked in the January 15th Wrestling USA magazine. Cheyenne Stokes (126)and Joey (118) is ranked #1 and Hanna is ranked #8 @100lbs. 12/4/06 With the new season starting I hope to get some news soon. Congratulations to Kennedy Jackson for getting 3rd place at the tough Reno Tournament. I will post more news about her when I get more info. I would like to welcome new team member "Kelsey Patton " to team Oklahoma. Kelsey is from Cleveland Oklahoma an We expect good things from her. The new USA Female senior rankings came out November 23rd and Joey was ranked #3 in the Nation at 51kg.
