Warren's Rosenbrock wrestling with success

She's involved in so many sports, it might seem difficult for Brandy Rosenbrock of Warren to choose her favorite.
But that's not the case for this multi-sport star from East Detroit High.
Even though she has earned eight varsity letters in five sports the past two years, Rosenbrock loves wrestling -- and it's easy to see why.
Today, she's in Martigny, Switzerland, preparing for the junior and cadet world wrestling championships. She's entered in the 127 3/4-pound weight class. The competition is Thursday through Sunday.
"I've been wrestling for four years," Rosenbrock said. "I keep liking it more and more. It's one-on-one. It's you against yourself, really."
Rosenbrock, who turned 17 on Aug. 7, has been one of the top junior girls wrestlers in the United States the past two years.
After winning two USA Wrestling age-group titles this year -- the FILA Cadet Nationals (ages 15-17) and the FILA Junior Nationals (17-20) -- she was named to the first TheMat.com/ASICS Girls High School All-American Wrestling Team.
Michigan led the nation with three first-team selections: Rosenbrock, Katrina Betts of Milan and Keristen LaBelle of Davison.
The first team featured eight seniors, five juniors and one sophomore. The sophomore was Rosenbrock.
