Texas Pre-season team ranking

The following ranking was derived by removing all of last years graduating seniors, ranking returning wrestlers at their last season's weight class and assigning a point system for how those individuals performed at the state tournament. Here is the point system used to evaluate these teams.

All ranking used were supplied at this site (TexasWrestler.com)
#1 ranked=6 pts
#2 ranked= 5 pts
#3 ranked=4 pts
#4 ranked=3 pts
Qualified for the state tournament= 2 pt
Alternate for the state tournament= 1 pt


This is merely an estimate of gauging how these teams will perform at the state tournament. Note: Girls wrestling is quite new to Texas and this poll can not take ito account the large number of new girls enting the sport for the
2000/2001 season.
