Seren Martin wrestling in the finals leading by a score of 3-0 in first round wrestling well and attacking got caught on a mistake and lost the match by a pin.

"We had some bad luck with injuries" Takahashi said. "Jill McCallum (65 kg) injured her shoulder in her first match and showed a lot of determination to continue for the team – she showed a lot of heart." Belinda Chou, the veteran and co-captain along with McNutt, got injured in the second round against Brock’s Heather Sweezey after winning the first round. "It’s too bad for Belinda" said - coach Josip Mrkoci. "Belinda had the match until her injury. I just hope she’ll be okay for the CIS Championships. "We had a very solid women’s team from top to bottom. We could have easily had Katrina Huszarik (61 kg) and Jill (McCallum) also going to CI’s."

Only the five medallists qualify for the CIS (Canadian University) Championships at Brock March 3, 4.
