Wrestling Teams Up With
ESPN THE MAGAZINE For Innovative
Fundraising Program

Joey's Wrestling is participating in a unique fundraising program, selling subscriptions to ESPN The Magazine to help raise much-needed funds for her future traveling expenses. Headed by Coach Jerry Miller, Joey is selling two-year subscriptions (52 issues) for $40 -a savings of over 80 percent off the newsstand price.
Unlike other fundraising efforts, an unprecedented 75 percent of the total sale goes directly back to Joey's wrestling. With checks made payable to Joey's Wrestling, the program receives $30 for every subscription sold.
With hundreds of participating schools, ESPN The Magazine s innovative Coaches Fundraising Program is helping to keep athletic programs up and running. Local teams decide how the funds earned are used, including purchasing new equipment and uniforms, reducing participation fees, defraying travel and tournament costs.
ESPN The Magazine is a provocative and innovative sports publication. Full of insight, analysis, impact and wit, the oversized biweekly looks ahead to give fans a unique perspective on the world of sports.

Joey is trying to raise money for next year to help with the cost of flying to USGWA Nationals in Michigan and other numerous tournaments across the nation. Joey will be a cadet next year and will try for a spot on the USA Cadet National team. If she makes the team she will get to travel overseas to participate with the girls National team. Women's wrestling has made the Olympics in 2004 and Joey is Going to go to all the big tournaments to try and make the team in 2008 since she will not be old enough to make the 2004 team. Joey gained All American status this year by placing 4th at USA Freestyle Nationals against boys from allover the US. In girls tournaments she is undefeated over the last 4 years.
